American Artist George H. Grimm

My passion for painting has gone back many years. Born in 1947 to a family of artists in different aspects of the creative arts I was always interested in the world of color and light. After High School I attended the Arizona School of Fine Art in Phoenix, Arizona and then went on to the Art Institute of Boston in the mid 1960's. I lived and spent much of my life in Arizona and Vermont and settled in Vermont where I paint daily. When I was younger I spent many years working as a draftsman in a civil engineering and land surveying environment here in Vermont which gave me the opportunity to appreciate firsthand the incredible scenes of nature everyday. I spend as much time as possible trying to depict the beauty and complexities of the landscapes here and from my travels across this great nation. I simply love to paint!
